But the spirit of Alexander’s generalship was that he was also extremely successful in all other types of armed confrontations: sieges, anti-guerilla actions, and ambushes. And it is this weird and wonderful arrangement of mastery of all types of war that makes him unique. Overall, Alexander was a great general, and after the evidence I have presented in this paper no one could possibly argue against this.
