To me an alarm clock is more like an annoying mosquito flying around my head waiting for that right moment to strike its unsuspecting prey. With one strong swipe of my hand, my adversary plummets to the floor once more, its black buttons fling off and the insides of it seem to have fallen out. It lays their motionless now, no glaring eyes and no more buzzing. I have won this battle for now—until the next day.
