In 1914 at the outbreak of world war one Australia couldn't have possibly for seen what this would do for their country and how much it would change their national identity forever
It was only in 1901 that Australia had federated, a new nation, a new economy, a new political system governing the entire country.

globally recognized Australian identity. Even though some bad did come of the war such as a huge debt owed to the British nothing could take away the beauty obtained from the Anzac’s , with Anzac cove still being the most visited of all the European battlefields today.
