CITIZEN KANE One of Citizen Kane’s main themes was the idea that childhood is lost. Throughout the entire film, Kane was seen trying to recapture his youth. Of course, everyone’s childhood is lost. showed last 75 words of 258 total…s eyes. ! One movie that reminds me of the lost childhood theme is Big, starring Tom Hanks. This is the only similarity I see in the two movies. In the Big, Hanks loses his childhood and wants to go back; I think Kane wants to go back also. My overall reaction to Citizen Kane was favorable.
