Does Morality Need Religion?
In this paper I will be comparing and contrasting C. Stephen Layman and John Arthur’s papers on religion and morality. I will then let you in on my own personal view. Layman states that morality cannot exist without religion while Arthur is stating that the two are not connected. Throughout the paper we will be discussing their agreements as well as their differences on the subject “Does Morality Need Religion”.

…showed last 75 words of 1415 total…a bit harsher, but the idea is still the same. So although I am moral because God wants me to be, that doesn’t mean that morality is decided by religion. Morality is something we have learned and tried to polish over the years and will do so for the rest of our existence. We have had to pave our own moral road through life lets just hope we are going in the right direction.
