The events that occurred at the inn, where Don Quixote got himself into a brawl over a whore, was due to misinterpretation by each character. The catastrophes that occur in Don Quixote are an examination of perspectives. The unreliable narrator reinforces this idea by not allowing the reader to rely on him as the source of truth, but for the reader to formulate his own interpretation.
