While certainly not a modern play, Everyman’s lessons are still very useful in modern times. The characters of Beauty, Goods, Good Deeds and Everyman himself are still very prevalent characters in today’s society, and the morals they demonstrated are universal. Though they were written for a culture that has changed quite a bit since medieval times, they are important in modern culture as they were then.
