American History textbooks are filled with "feel-good" history. However, it is only applies to white students. These books employ such a God-like tone that students never even think to question them. For writing Lies My Teacher Told Me, Loewen is called an "anti-American"; however, it is the textbook authors are who are being "anti-American". They are the ones who lie to students, not Loewen.
