For the area, if you look at the drawing you can see how certain areas of his body take up one whole square. Then I added 6,16,30,48 together, which gave me a total area of 100. The perimeter was quite simple. I just used a piece of string and measuring tape. I got a total of 55. So to sum things up:
Perimeter of small image: 10 3/4 inches
Area of small image: 4 inches squared
Perimeter of large image: 55
Area of large image: 100
