George Gordon Lord Byron
George Gordon Lord Byron was an English poet who lived from 1788 until 1824. Though his life was short he seemed to live it to the fullest, having many adventures and new loves. George Gordon wrote mainly from his experiences in life and love; he made even the slightest events in life seem passionate and significant.

When Byron was given an invitation to help the Greek army fight for independence form the Turks he quickly accepted (2). While serving the Greeks Byron became sick and could not shake it over long period he was in and out of sickness until he finally died of a cold. Byron died around six on the night of April 19, 1824 at the young age of 36 (2).
