He favored spontaneity and frank language over metered verse and measured speech. Ginsberg spoke through experience, and the revolutionary time in America during which he was young inspired his poetry. Ginsberg ignored the so-called rules of poetry and wrote it the way he wanted. Both poets succeeded extremely well in their efforts, and will be remembered for the ages.
