I feel the article does a good job in recognizing a need to improve governmental costing systems. The author’s theory of evaluating the three potential pitfalls: usefulness, truthfulness, and affordability, is a different way of gathering the information. Although different, the idea seems very practical in assessing the costs of government. By meeting the three areas, the costs can be captured and measured, to give a clearer picture of the costing spectrum.
