Stresemann came into the main political scene in 1923. It was in this year when he became Chancellor of Germany for a few months. It was during this short spell as Chancellor that he made some big changes that helped Germany in the long run.

Once the Nazi's got into power, all of Stresemann's work was ruined and Germany became hostile once more. So I think that Stresemann did a lot of great things in the short term, but over the years after they were made huge flaws started showing through and ruined the plans and pacts.
