showed last 75 words of 1181 total…overcome the disappointments in life and learn from their moral lessons. Joyce explores the changing times and people of Dublin in the early 1900’s. The stories are a portrait of the times and Joyce was not a popular man for showing them how they actually were. The novel has given me a better understanding of the times and people of Ireland. Its also has sparked an interest in finding out more about my Irish heritage.
