Catherine order her about. Elizabeth tells her that she will do as she pleases which infuriates lady Catherine.
Although she is so cruel and dominating she does play an important part in the story because of her involvement with Darcy and then her involvement with Elizabeth and Darcy’s relationship. She is a strong character and she stands out, all the other characters are polite and well mannered, she is cross, sickly and not likeable.
