He stated, "What would someone like you need trigonometry for? You are just a welder". This comment is very much untrue. My father uses maths especially trigonometry every day for such jobs as stairs, roof supports, etc. Just because my father is a labourer, this teacher thought his was stupid and not as 'cultured' as himself.
