In “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding the characters share many similarities and differences. There is the oldest boy, Ralph, who is the leader that likes to have order and assemblies. Then there is Jack, who is extremely controlling and does not follow any of Ralph’s rules. Ralph expresses aspects somewhat of a politician on the island, whereas Jack expresses aspects of wanting control and acting savage like on the island.
