The characters in Macbeth, are not who they appear to be. These characters have others fooled to believe they are honest, loyal people when in fact they are evil individuals. The theme of appearance versus reality is displayed many times by the main characters, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. People may come off as kind, caring human beings, but remember that appearances can be deceiving.
