Justin and I worked together, criticized each other’s work, proofread each other’s speeches, until finally we returned to the Kamehameha campus for the Hawaii Speech League State Championships. After three days and nights of agony and exhaustion, he and I emerged victorious, and traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Queen City National Forensics League Championships. When Justin and I weren’t debating, we were waiting for our turn to conquer.
