Trapped
Feeling trapped is a part of everyday life and it is a feeling that is used very often in literature. For example, three pieces of literature that use vivid cases of feeling trapped are “The Story of an Hour”, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, and Oedipus Rex. an easy situation to be in. In some cases, being trapped is beneficial as in Walter Mitty’s case, but in other situations it can be very harmful as seen in Oedipus Rex and “The Story of an Hour”. One can trap himself or be trapped, either way it is a situation that we will all face in our lifetime.
