What I have learned about old English is that most of it’s story were spoken directly other than being written and read. This Is called Vanacular. …showed last 75 words of 1177 total…back during the old english era were completely the same, but it had its own style. What I do know that are similar are biblical references between both poems. In Beowulf, many biblical references were brought up, and in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight I caught a few names that are mentioned in the bible as well. In conlusion, I learned that not all poems that were created back then are not the same .
