Prohibition
In the “roaring 1920’s,” the U.S. Congress passed the 18th amendment, also known as the Prohibition Amendment, which was directed to clean up the American Society, but as we all know; the goal was a failure. Criminal activities increased largely and many Americans died as a result of the Amendment. The amendment also called ”The Noble Experiment” did not tend to stop the use of alcohol and was in most aspects a complete failure.
