In this paper I would like to develop a refutation of an argument presented in class. I have chosen to refute the argument presented by XXXXX. The argument made was that video games in common are “good” for children. I would like to explain why I don’t agree with this claim. I conclude my argument with a joint statement by the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. “The conclusion of the public health community, based on over 30 years of research, is that viewing entertainment violence can lead to increases in aggressive attitudes, values and behaviors, particularly in children.”
