Sherman’s Fashion photographs undermine the desirability of such images by emphasizing their contrived nature.” As far as I’m concerned as a woman, I feel Sherman has gained the upper hand on the stereotyped gender scene. If anything else, it is certain that she has taken the fantastical element of playing dress-up, and heightened the experience for the little girl in every woman.
