MONOTYPE GOUDY
This typeface is an old style type. The aspects that show this are the angle of the weight stress on
rounded forms, the shape and style of the serifs, and the angle of the top serifs on the lowercase letter forms.
Old style typesets are influenced by carved Roman capitals for the uppercase letter forms and fifteenth-
century humanistic writing styles for the lowercase.

into the vertical stem.
Goudy is a classic typeface. It portrays a time past. It has a warm feeling . It is also a timeless type that
will probably always be used in some application. It is very readable. Even at small sizes it does not loose it
legibility.
