The Red-HEaded League
I believe that “The Red-Headed League” was an excellent detective
story. The suspense in the story really kept me interested. Holmes’s quick
wit was a very appealing aspect of the story. He was able to deduct many
things about Wilson without Wilson telling him. There are many things that
held my attention to the story, that is why I found it so intriguing.
The idea of the Red-Headed League was bizarre, but interesting. It

then explains the case thoroughly. He says that the reason John Clay invented
the Red-Headed League was to get Wilson away from the pawnshop for a
certain number of hours during the day. John Clay’s plan was to dig a tunnel
from the pawnshop to the bank for the purpose of stealing money. Finally,
Holmes has Clay arrested and has successfully solved another case.
