Only a century ago mankind thought that they would never leave the face of the earth. Were they ever mistaken! On the first of July 1957, all the world's forces joined hands to study the Earth from all its sides.

…showed last 75 words of 466 total…the moon with the landing module of the Apollo 11 spacecraft in July of 1969. The whole country watched in awe as Neil Armstrong spoke those words that would forever be remembered "This is one small step for man, and a giant leap for mankind." The Soviets may not have known what he said but they knew exactly what had happened, the USA's astronaut's had walked on the moon. We had won the race to the moon.
