What is feminism?
There are many different interpretations of the word 'feminism'. However, most people agree that feminism is the theory that men and women should be equal politically, economically and socially. The feminist movement is a group of men and women who believe in feminism and are trying to eliminate the inequality between men and women.

…showed last 75 words of 2683 total…need this because even though the feminist movement has come a very long way and our society has made tremendous advances, women are still being beaten in their homes with 'more than 2 ½ million women experienc[ing] violence annually' (National Crime Victimization Survey 1987-1991:Statistics on Women) . This should be a signal that something needs to be done. If the feminist movement can reform itself, it may be able to make many more great accomplishments for women.
