Edgar gets revenge on Edmund for his father, himself, and his county, and Edmund gets the justice he deserves which is death. Edgar’s loyalty to family and Edmund’s loyalty to himself is the main cause of the sub-plot they exist in. With out the actions of Edmund and Edgar, Regan and Goneril may have never been stopped and given the punishment they deserved.
