The children were prone to become violent the minute they knew they could get away with it. The boys impulsively called the task of killing animals. They took an unnecessary amount of pig’s lives, and made them suffer unnecessarily large amounts of pain. And, they murdered two boys in cold blood. Back home, behavior like they exhibited on the island was unheard of. But, left on their own, it came naturally.
