Slavery as an Institution
I believe that slavery is wrong and it is wrong but back in the 1800’s the economy needed slavery. The northern states really didn’t need it because they were business states. The southern states on the other hand were plantation states. They produced most of the food, cotton and other grown plants that everyone needed.

…showed last 75 words of 517 total…slavery was not a bad thing but just because everyone had been doing doesn’t make it right. Finally the northern states started to figure that out only because they no longer used slaves because they were business people. So they told the southern states it was wrong but they didn’t like that. The only way that slavery was ended was after a war of five years. Then most people knew slavery was bad.
