Rosa Parks Life Rosa Parks was born on February 4,1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. Her parents were James and Leona. Her family moved to Pine Level, Alabama where she was educated in a rural school. After she completed her education at the age of eleven, her mother put her in a school for girls. When she was older she went to Alabama State Teachers College High School.
