After being pushed all his life to fight, he rejected the opportunity to show his brave talents and fighting skills and sits out a good chuck of the war. Eventually he comes around to fighting, fulfills his destiny, AND gets the girl. That Aeneas must have been something special, he sounds more like a James Bond then a son of a Trojan Prince. Who knew?
